Has anyone done the vaccine yet? I spoke to our surgery yesterday and was told I need to wait for a letter for Sam's vaccine as they are doing them in strict rotation! My friends son has asthma and is getting his on Monday. apparently OB and bronchiectasis don't count that high up on the list! _________________ Julie, mum to Sam 5 years, obliterative bronchiolitis, Opitz G/BBB syndrome, tracheostomy, gastrostomy. How ANNOYING!!!! I got mine in Sydney a fair few weeks ago now, but they weren't doing children under 12 yet, and said that by the time approval came for children, it would be silly to get it done as cold and flu season is well and truly over this year in Sydney (ie wait until the next batch down under...)
Have you thought about slapping? Sometimes I think people may need a slight but definate slap about the head... It works inside my brain anyway... |

Hi ya and Happy New Year
Re the Swine Flu, sadly I think yet again its a case of those who shout loudest get most. I kicked up about Kiri's with the GP and both her and I got it in early November just after ordinary flu jab but I know some others families who still are waiting. Keep pestering is my advice!!!
Cant believe that OB would NOT be considered a priority, what planet are they on really!!!!
Hope everyone is not struggling with the winter bugs too badly and enjoying the snow!!!

I think it's down to ignorance - they don't know what OB is! Sam did get both of his finally (after we think he may have had it!) _________________ Julie, mum to Sam 5 years, obliterative bronchiolitis, Opitz G/BBB syndrome, tracheostomy, gastrostomy. The most amazing, happy boy |
